Mark James Powell

Mark was a proud navy veteran. He served on the USS James Monroe submarine from (1981-1990). In June of 1989 Mark married Irma Powell of El Paso Texas and he later moved to El Paso in 1991 where he used his skills as a diesel mechanic to establish his own small business, Marks Mobile Service. He was active in supporting his community and avid supporter of the Rescue Mission of El Paso. Marks charisma and kindness left a lasting impact on those he interacted with.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Wilma Powell and his brother Rick Powell. Mark is survived by his wife Irma Powell who he celebrated 35 years of marriage with and his only child Ashlee Marie Powell-Bond.

A visitation for Mark will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter Drive, El Paso, TX 79936. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Rd, El Paso, TX 79925. A graveside service will occur Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
