Maria Teresa Melton, “Terry” to friends and family. Terry attended North Loop Elementary and graduated from Ysleta High School. When she was younger, she enjoyed playing softball. Her adventurous spirit took her to California for a brief period where she met two of her best friends, Millie & Maria. After Terry’s children were grown, she met and married her true love, Al. Terry and Al loved to travel, dance, auto race and spend time with family and friends. She became an expert quilt maker, always knowing what colors and patterns to put together. She gifted her beautiful creations to those she loved. Her Heart was into her garden, growing beautiful flowers and creating arrangements. She found true joy tending to her many roses. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Terry is survived by her daughter Rose Marie Greenough (Malcolm Luis Greenough †); her daughter Tracey Lee Duran; her son Wayne Bernon Fannin Jr (Patricia Fannin); her son James Walker Fannin (Ida H. Fannin); and her son Michael Edward Fannin (Janet S. Fannin); her grandson Justin Favela, her grandson Joseph Malcolm Greenough, her grandson Jesse Luis Greenough, her granddaughter Desiree Duran and her grandson Sebastian Duran.
Terry was preceded in death by her husband Alfred E. Melton; her son Michael Paul Fannin; her mother Luz V. Zubiate and her father David Zubiate.
Visitation for Terry will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Vigil at 6:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79903. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at St Joseph Catholic Church, 3729 Hueco Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79903. Committal service will follow at 11:30 AM at Ft Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79906.
