Maria Luisa Del Rio, 87, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 in El Paso. Mrs. Del Rio was a lifelong resident of El Paso and a member of San Antonio Catholic Church. She had worked at the Ysleta Independent School District prior to retirement.
She is survived by her sons: Jesus Del Rio Jr. and Javier A. Del Rio, daughters: Evelina Molina, Leila Nokes and Cynthia Martinez. Mrs. Del Rio is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her brother Daniel Lara, sisters: Margarita Apodaca, Isabel C. Olivas and Herlinda Murillo.
Visitation for Mrs. Del Rio will be Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm with a Vigil Service starting at 6pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 10am at San Antonio Catholic Church with a Graveside Service to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Molina Sr., Michael Lara, Daniel Lara, David Molina Jr., Ruben Molina and Isaac Del Rio. Services entrusted to Hillcrest Funeral Home East, 1060 N. Carolina Dr.
