When you called and asked me to be your Best Man, not only did I accept immediately, but I also let you know that had another idea. Once you confirmed you were out of earshot, I revealed my secret plan to surprise Stephanie at your wedding, and your response was simply "That is awesome! What do you need me to do?"

We got to work on drawing out the plan, making sure we would be at different hotels, visit places at different times, and other nuances. A couple of months and a few "Sorry I can't make it" excuses later, I flew to Vegas to carry out the mission.

Once I touched down and was settled in the hotel, we sent texts to each other of our whereabouts, and we agreed on a day and time to execute the surprise. Her reaction to my sudden appearance was worth the 2 months of planning and waiting, and your giant smile at seeing our plan pay off was my first experience with your contagious positivity.

You are an incredible person who left a positive impact on countless people, and that impact is an unstoppable force that will always be there. It was an honor to be your Best Man, and I'll always wear that memory on my sleeve.

Manny - Thank you for everything. 

A tribute to my dear colleague and friend— There isn’t even a word to describe the immense generosity and heart of gold you had. Always so positive, patient and giving. The light you gave was so radiant and bright, it will always remain. From our astronomy talks to our dog/animal conversations, never a dull moment. Our time was short, but our memories are forever.
