Laura (“Lori”) Lee Mundell was peacefully called home by our Lord on September 27, 2021 in her own home. Lori was born in El Paso, Texas on April 4, 1962. She was the eldest daughter of Rick De La Torre and Patsy Chagra. Patsy and Lori were inseparable. Lori adored and was extremely close to her two sisters, Cynthia Keyson and Patricia Dentinger. She also loved her younger sisters, Monica and Lu Lu De La Torre. Lori was a 1980 graduate of El Paso High School and had floods of friends.
Her most valued treasure and greatest joy were her two children, Cal and Brianna Mundell, who she constantly devoted her life to. Lori raised a lawyer and a soon-to-be speech pathologist. She was thankful to have the unending support of their father, Brian Mundell.
Lori and her children were best friends and shared the strongest love. They shared most dinners together, every weekend together, and laughed together about everything imaginable. Lori’s children were her whole life.
Lori loved her God second to none, spending time with her family, and foods of all sorts. She would often joke that while many people ate to live, she lived to eat. Lori also loved being around her nephews, David Alexander and Ron Lee, her Godson, Joseph Cline, her niece and “second daughter,” Patricia Ann, and her most recent jewel, her great-niece, Collins Marie.
In sum, Lori was the epitome of love, compassion, forgiveness, and joy. If there ever was a perfect person born to this Earth, Lori had to be it. She was truly an angel sent from heaven and her legacy will live on forever.
Lori is survived by her children Cal and Brianna, her parents, Rick and Patsy, her step-parents, Sergio and Josie, her sisters, Cindy, Tricia, Monica and Lu Lu, her amazing brother-in-law, Ronald Dentinger, Jr., and an abundance of loving relatives.
