Kathryn "Kopy" Ponsford Koehler

Kathryn ("Kopy") Sara Ponsford Koehler, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and third generation El Pasoan, passed away on March 6, 2014 at the age of 86. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ward, children Paul and his wife Julie, Tom and his wife Carol, Christine Servin and her husband Victor, and Bruce and his wife Lee Ann, and grandchildren Matthew and his wife Elisabeth, Sarah, Henry, Grant, Victor, Carter, Kristen, Dorothy, Rodrigo, Christian, Lily and Gemma, and sister Marian Shortridge. She was active in First Presbyterian Church and numerous community organizations including El Paso Pro-Musica, El Paso Symphony, PTA, McDowell Club, Junior League, Woman's Club of El Paso, Rescue Mission of El Paso, Women's Auxiliary to the El Paso Bar Association, and Republican Party. She was an alumna of Dudley Elementary, El Paso High School, Texas College of Mines and Metallurgy, and Eastman School of Music (University of Rochester). She was also a long time piano teacher and world traveler. In lieu of flowers, donations to Rescue Mission of El Paso and El Paso Pro-Musica.
