Juanita Vasquez

On September 8, 2015, Our Blessed Mother Mary & her Son Jesus Christ, paid a visit to our mother, Juanita Vasquez and escorted her into her eternal life. Juanita was born on May 6, 1923 in Pecos, Texas to Liberato & Agustina Acosta. After marring Epifanio Vasquez, they made their home in El Paso, Texas. Their marriage of 57 years was a beautiful example for their daughters. Juanita’s faith, family and home were her priorities. The love that permeated from her was not only for her family but for all who crossed her path in her life time. Her powerful words of encouragement and her tight loving hugs will be sorely missed. She is survived by her daughters: Gloria V. Morales (Jaime), Dora V. Alvarez (Santiago), Alice V. Alvarez (Manny), Lorinda Vasquez and Rita Vasquez; 2 sisters: Penny Ramos and Bea Herrera; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Visitation will be from 5:00 to9:00 pm Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 9:15 am Monday, September 14, 2015 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
