Juan "Johnny" Montoya passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 9,2023. He was born in Cerrillos, NM to his parents: Delfino and Mary Montoya on June 24,1948.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sanetta "Sandy" Montoya; sons: James and Jesse Montoya, Johnny and Alfredo Anaya;Seven Grandchildren: Jason and Clarrissa Montoya, Johnny Anaya, Felicia Anaya, Alfred Anaya, Isaac and Isiah Anaya; and seven Great Grandchildren.
He is also survived by his five sisters and five brothers: Connie Grado, Linda Vela, Janet Lopez, Geraldine Montoya, Lisa Macias,Joe Montoya, Delfino Montoya Jr, Jesus Montoya, Henry Montoya, and Robert Montoya.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jason Montoya; parents, Delfino & Mary Montoya; and sister, Lily Montoya.
Pallbearers will be Joe Montoya, Delfino Montoya Jr, Jesus Montoya, Henry Montoya, Robert Montoya, and honorary pallbearers.
He was a very loving and giving man. He loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

A Visitation for Johnny will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home-West, 5054 Doniphan Dr., El Paso, Texas 79932. A Rosary will occur Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 6:00 PM, 5054 Doniphan Dr., El Paso, Texas 79932. A Funeral Mass will occur Friday, March 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St Patrick's Catholic Church, 7065 2nd Ave, Canutillo, Texas 79835. A Graveside Service will occur Friday, March 17, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Memorial Pines Cemetery, 3061 Memorial Pines Ln, Sunland Park, NM 88063.
