Our beloved Joe Torres III passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 17, 2024, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s. He was 70 years old. He was the son of Jose Torres Jr. and Bertha Torres.
At a very young age, Joe learned to have a very strong work ethic and grew his passion for fixing and building cars knowing one day he would own his dream car, his 1932 Ford Coupe.
He married the love of his life of 40 years, Maria Torres, and together they had two beautiful daughters who were his pride and joy. Joe was a quiet man, but those who knew him best will always remember his laughter for the little things. He loved classic rock music and played his oldies every chance he got. A few of his favorites being The Beatles, Chicago, The Eagles, and Santana. He was an influential example to his grandsons who brought him so much happiness in his last years. Though living with Parkinson’s was hard, he battled the disease with great strength, integrity, and positivity. He left his family with beautiful memories of an example of a strong leader who was able to find great joy in the simple things in life.
He has now joined his mother and father in heaven. Joe is survived by his wife Maria Torres. Daughter Claudia Quinn, husband Aaron Quinn, grandsons Lucas and Noah Quinn. Daughter Jessica Rodriguez and husband Robert Rodriguez.
He will be deeply missed but forever loved and always in our hearts.
“Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.”
