Jose Oscar Ortiz passed away Thursday September 5, 2013 at the age of 89. Jose was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, 19 February 1924. Married Artemisa Yanez 25 February 1949 in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Immigrated to El Paso during the 60s raising a family of 8 children. Jose was a hard worker since the age of 14. He lived to see his dream of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren become doctors, teachers, engineers and succeed in business. Known for making friends with anybody he met and always able to make them laugh. Jose is preceded in death by his sons Luis & Armando. He is survived by wife Artemisa, sons Jorge, Oscar and Angel of El Paso TX; daughters Martha Miramontes and Ruth Pena of San Antonio TX; and Francisco of Carrollton TX. Monday, Sept 9 at Martin Funeral 3839 Montana Ave, Visitation at 4:00 PM, Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM. Tuesday, Sept 10, 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 2709 Alabama.
