Jonathan Keith Molina, 29, born and raised in El Paso, passed on October 5, 2012. The youngest of three, Jonathan graduated Austin High School in 2002, played football and brought a high school rivalry home, living with two Bowie High School graduates, he proudly served with the U.S. Marines and the El Paso Police Department.
He loved his country and proudly served with the Marines, being deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan. After, he became a Law Enforcement Officer with the El Paso Police Department where he protected his hometown for over four years. On September 25, 2012, Jonathan was viciously attacked and suffered severe brain injuries, leaving him battling for his life. On the morning of October 5, 2012, he lost that battle.
He is survived by his mother Hussim Weaver, father Mauricio Molina Sr., sister Jessica Molina and brother Mauricio Molina.
A great loss to the family, friends, the city of El Paso and the nation.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11th, from 5p.m. to 9 p.m. at FDA Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Ave. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, October 12th at 12:30 p.m. in St. Patrick's Cathedral,1118 N. Mesa followed by burial at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
