Joe A. Dominguez passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on June 20, 2014. Joe was born on March 19, 1942 in Fabens, Texas to Martin and Manuela Dominguez. He was a graduate of Ysleta High School and the University of Texas at El Paso. He was a Vietnam Era United States Army Staff Sergeant. He was lifelong El Paso businessman and a practicing Certified Public Accountant for more than 30 years. Joe was actively involved in the Sun Carnival Association for many years, as well as the Border Business Association, the local chapter of the Navy League, and other local organizations. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Alfredo, Enrique, Carlos and Bobby. He is survived by his sons: Stephen (Tracy) and Joey; as well as grandchildren: Devyn, Lauryn, Lexa and Alexander Dominguez; sisters: Yolanda, Virginia, Delia, and Ida; brothers: Oscar and Hector; and his dedicated and loving companion Leticia Ibarra. He leaves behind many, many friends and business associates too numerous to mention. Pallbearers will be Hector Dominguez, Baldomero Gonzalez, Dr. Charles Cavaretta, Eddie Telles, Devyn Dominguez, and Daniel Dominguez. Honorary pallbearers are Oscar Dominguez, Victor Diaz, Jorge Ortiz, Spencer Crowder and Beth Baker. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Beth Baker for her longtime friendship and dedication to Joe. Rosary will be at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 8011 Williamette Street with a Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
