JoAnn Aguirre Rodarte age 72, passed away March 3, 2023, in her home with her husband, Richard and beloved caregiver Dora by her side. JoAnn Rodarte was born in, February 26, 1951. She was a lifelong resident of El Paso. She grew up in Cedar Grove where she enjoyed her childhood and teenage years with her siblings and many friends. Shortly after high school, JoAnn married Manuel Jaime Aguirre. In 1972, they welcomed their baby boy, Robert Joseph Aguirre. JoAnn worked in the public schools; where she participated the community, playing volleyball and supporting her students. She was also well known for her catering service. JoAnn was an amazing cook and enjoyed cooking for her loved ones.
She later married Richard Rodarte. They built a life together and were married for more than 20 years.
JoAnn is survived by her mother, Patricia Cortinas, her husband, Richard Rodarte, her son, Robert Joseph Aguirre, her daughter in law, Claudia Ramos Aguirre, her grandkids, Corina and Samantha, her brother-in-law, Manuel Cisneros and her nieces Virginia and Lori. She was preceded in death by her father, sister and brother. JoAnn was a rebel at heart, a free spirit, and loved to laugh and have a good time! Let’s celebrate the beautiful and happy JoAnn that we all loved.

A visitation for JoAnn will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Vigil at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903. Funeral mass will occur Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 12:30 PM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 7424 Mimosa Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79915 with interment to follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
