Jaime and I worked at EPEMS dispatch.  He was always happy.  He had a good heart and loved his family.  He was more than a co worker.. he was my friend.  He had a smile that you could see from across the room.  His laugh sounded like a hyena.. but it was contagious.   Rest in Peace Brother.   May the light of Christ shine on you and your family.

My deepest condolences to the Licon family. I’m am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Jimmy when we were teenagers at Washington Park Pool. When we worked together some of our co workers called us Snoopy and Woodstock.

I always thought of Jimmy as a gentle giant. He was an amazing sweet and funny friend who always made me laugh, and was always a complete gentleman with me. Jimmy was always giving me great advice, some that I took to heart. One of them being, “When you get married, never nag your husband because he will tune you out, and that’s where the problems begin.” Always hear him out, and don’t jump into conclusions either. Talk it out because  communication is vital in a marriage. He also  emphasized that “respect is earned and not given.” Jimmy’s advice was a blessing because I ended up marrying my best friend. Sadly, my husband the love of my life, passed away this past December. The 31st of December would have been 29 years of marriage. I wish I would have introduced my husband to Jimmy. But in heaven, I am sure by now my husband and Jimmy have already met. 

I kept in touch with Jimmy for a few years here and there but lost touch. I always felt that Jimmy was often miss understood and I had even prayed that he would find the right person who would genuinely appreciate him for who he was. I was so happy to hear that Jimmy had finally found the right person and was happily married to love of his life, and that he was finally happy.

Jimmy was the most memorable friend that throughout the years would come to mind from time to time, and was always wishing and hoping that he was happy and doing well. I only wish I could have told him how much of an impact he made in my life and what a  blessing and dear friend he was to me when we were young. 

I will continue to hold Jimmy’s family in prayer. May the good LORD JESUS comfort your hearts and give you the peace that surpasses all understanding.. 🙏

I am so heartbroken to hear of Jaime’s passing…he was a good friend of mine…we dated for a while in the early 90’s….in this picture he was my date at my 20th yr reunion he was always  so handsome to me…but we lost touch when I moved to California…we worked out together at times as well…I will miss you…RIP my friend you are now with our King in heaven…

May you rest in peace, Jaime licon; still remember when we all got together with Rick Sheppard . It was so much fun spending time with you, and how you loved the Dallas Cowboys. 

I am deeply and painfully saddened to find out now and has been confirmed that I have lost my bestest of friends, who is a brother to me. I will deeply miss our beer time, phone and text conversations and our genuine friendship. I will always miss you and think about you, thank you  and Laura for being an aunt and uncle to my Daughters and a big part of our life! We will miss you, I especially!
