LOZANO Ignacio "Nacho" Lozano Sr., 82, of El Paso Texas, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away January 29, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was a graduate of Bowie High School and life long resident of El Paso, Texas. He earned a bachelor of business administration degree at Texas Western College in 1958 and worked as an auditor for the Texas Employment Commission retiring after 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1953 retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. During his service in Korea he was a Staff Sergeant of F Company in the 179th Infantry Regiment. He was decorated and awarded the Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman's Badge, and Bronze Star for Valor. He was born in Las Cruces New Mexico, the son of Carmen Muela Lozano and Apolinar Lozano and is survived by his wife Magdalena of 57 years, his children; Ignacio Jr, Irma, Elizabeth, Daniel, and Adrian; his grandson's Jason, Isaac, Joseph Lozano, and Caesar Ortiz and his great grand daughter Alana Lozano. His surviving brothers and sisters are Soledad Arenivar, Nieves Corona, Efrain Lozano, Samuel Lozano, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a volunteer for the American Cancer Societies "Re-Speak Lost Chord Club." A Rosary Service will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 7:00PM at Harding-Orr & McDaniel Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 12:30PM at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, with full military honors.
