Hedwig "Hedy" Hinderer Jacobs, born March 15, 1924 to August Hinderer and Maria Dorflinger in Budafok, Hungary, died October 11, 2024 in El Paso, Texas. Hedy is preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings and her husband, Robert. She is survived by her son Frank (Carol), granddaughters Stephanie Jacobs, Jacqueline Forsberg (Tim) and her beloved great grandson Nathan Jacobs and many nieces and nephews.
A resident of El Paso since 1951, Hedy was a homemaker and had jobs in retail. She was at one time, manager of The Aaronson Brothers Store in Lakeside and Bassett Center.
Hedy was always happy to feed anyone who showed up at her home and none left without a full stomach and knowledge of German culture and cuisine. Hedy was a resident of Solstice Retirement Community since 2005. She loved her time Solstice and made many new friends.
Memorial contributions can be made to Animal Rescue League in Canutillo or to a favorite charity.
