Missing you Greg! Mason and I were just talking about you the other day. You were taken much too soon, but we know you never belonged to anyone here on earth, the good Lord blessed us all with your presence temporarily. You’re home now in peace dwelling with your Father. True leadership. That’s what Sergeant Ramirez exemplified through and through. He never berated or made anyone feel beneath him. He cared about us all. He made sure we were all taken care of in the platoon and in our personal lives. In one of my darkest hours, he and his family were there for me. He welcomed my daughter and I into his family and I will never forget that. I can’t believe he is gone. My heart goes out to you Maria and Candace… I’m so sorry for your loss. 

On behalf of the residents and staff of The Village at Incarnate Word in San Antonio, I would like to extend our sincere sympathy to all the Ramirez family on the loss of your dear son, husband, father, brother and grandfather. We thank you for  supporting him during his years in the US Army, knowing that this required sacrifice on the part of all of you. May God hold you close and give you strength and peace in the weeks and months ahead.

He will be dearly missed. I had the pleasure of working with him both at the El Paao processing Center, as well in the Texas Army National Guard. He had a big heart, and very caring.  I send my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.  May his memory be a blessing.

My deepest condolences to the entire Ramirez Family on the passing of Greg.  Although I had not seen him since high school, I have fond memories of Greg during those years.  He was always a kind and a respectful person.  May the wonderful memories of all these years carry you through this difficult moment.  Rest in peace my friend.

My sincere condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of working with Gregorio for the past 5 years although we had known each other since the 90s. He was a great guy and took care of all his coworkers lending a helping hand when needed and bringing food to the office for all to enjoy. May God comfort you all during this difficult time.

Raymond Morris

 Anybody that knows me, knows I was raised by women. Growing up, I valued the friends that had father figures I could relate to. I was heavily influenced by fathers who were caring, wise, and hard working. Greg or ”Greq” as I’d call him, was one of those fathers. I spent a lot of my senior year and many more years after knowing Greg. He became one of the most influential father figures to me. Everything about Dad was contagious. His smile, his work ethic, his caring attitude, and his love for his family. No matter what was going on in my life, I could always count on Dad to brighten my day. He made me feel that his home was my home. No matter what was going on, he’d take time out of my visit to his home to ask me how my personal and military life was going. He offered advice at every opportunity and I cherished that. My most fond memory of Dad was the morning of Aaron’s graduation. I came over to the house that morning and I could feel the pride radiating off of him. The first words he said to me that morning was “Mijo, my son graduates college today. Can you grab us some beers from the fridge?” I laughed because that’s how you knew Greg was at his most welcoming state, he was always celebrating his life and the accomplishments of his family. Of all the infamous quotes, my favorite was “be careful, the devil is out there mijo.” He knew his kids were going to be doing bad things, he knew he wasn’t going to be able to get us to stop doing it, so rather than fight it, he offered advice. He was always caring about our well-being first. He made sure we had a plan to get home safely and he made sure we had a place to stay. Greqs greatest accomplishments are in the hearts of his family. He left us too soon, but he didn’t leave us unprepared. Ramirez family, I love you all. I am deeply saddened by our loss. I know he’s in heaven warming up the discada and loading up the fridge with some ice cold Bud Lights for us. Cheers Greq, Rest In Peace dad.

Gregorio I can’t believe you’re gone. You were a good person, excellent employee, a great family man and a true friend to many. I know God called you home and we must all go one day but I’m sure going to miss you. I’ll never forget our escorts when we ran Thru the airport barely making our connecting flight and you fell and got hurt but we accomplished our mission. I’ll never forget the time we all went to wet and wild with our families and you actually showed up in your speedos just as happy as you could be. But my fondest memory of you is when you got released from the hospital a month or 2 ago and I was able to pray with you and tell you that I love you my friend. RIP Greg.
