George Riddle

George Riddle, 85 passed away Friday December the 20th. He was born in El Paso, TX on October 15, 1928. He enlisted into the Army at the early age of 17 where he served for three years. Upon his discharge he received a WW II Victory medal. He then joined forces with his dad Riley where he helped run and eventually operated Riley’s Tavern on Alameda Ave from 1949 till his retirement in 1999. George is survived by his daughters Rosemary Achelpohl (Fred), Dianne Bradshaw (Kenneth), Georgianne Milliken(Ted); four grandchildren, Donn Puca, Brian Bostick, Lesley Napoles, Teddi Milliken; five great grandchildren; sister Helen Walker.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Riley & Jovita Riddle (Perez); wives Stella Louise Riddle, Ernestina Riddle; sister Betty Williams. Visitation will be Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 5:00 P..M. to 9:00 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N. Resler. Funeral Service will be Friday, January 10, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. at Martin Funeral Home West Chapel. Interment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Rescue Mission of El Paso, 1949 W. Paisano Dr., El Paso, TX 79922. Services entrusted to Martin Funeral Home West.
