Gabriele Louise Elfriede Hamma passed away Nov 8th at the age of 51, resident of El Paso, Texas. Well educated, cultured and traveled, Gabi was born in Germany. She lived in Europe, North Africa, South and Central America before she moved to the states with her family at age 17. A Teacher at Franklin High School for 8 years and in Austin, Texas for two, multilingual in four languages and a mentor and inspiration to all of her students. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt and friends to so many. She loved life with her family and friends, very spirited, passionate and loving to all with a smile you will never forget.
Survivors; her spouse, Michael Hamma, son Charles Z. Hanks III, mother, Otilia Walther, brothers, Harald and Robert Walther, step-children Erica Campbell, Ashley Lierer, William Hamma, Jacob Hamma, grandchildren, Katelyn, Isabella and Rudy Campbell, sister-in-laws Maria Elena Walther, Angela McGuire, nieces and nephews, Matthew and Madelyn Walther, Jessica Franco, Maria Isabel Villaderey, Estefania Walther, Nicole Hamma, Broc Kinsey, Justin Laughlin and so many others that loved her.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 11 from 4 to 8pm with a Memorial service at 7:00pm at Martin Funeral Home West.
