Gabriel Munoz, Jr. was called to heaven on Saturday December 10, 2022. He was born on September 28, 1964 in Deming, New Mexico. He graduated from Anthony High School in 1983 and throughout his junior and senior year was named the star quarterback for AHS. “Jumbo”, as he was fondly known to by his family and friends had a passion for sports and always exceeded as an exceptional player in football, basketball and baseball. He was a devoted number one Dallas Cowboy fan. Jumbo was dedicated to his family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He always lit up a room with his witty personality and his huge smile. He worked for several years dispatching in the oil and fuel industry.
Gabriel was a long-time resident of Anthony, Texas and later moved to El Paso, Texas after meeting and marrying his wife, Rebecca Muñoz.
Gabriel is preceded in death by his mother +Yolanda, father +Gabriel Sr. and his son +Gabriel Munoz, III
He is survived by his wife Rebecca Muñoz and his son David Anthony Muñoz. His three sisters, Irma Sanchez (Michael), Bonnie Moreno (Mario) and Terri Muñoz; brothers in-law, Daniel, Rick, Armando (Dora), Eloy Lucero, and sister in-law Tina Baquera. Gabriel is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Jumbo will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.
