Fred Vigil, 63, was born on September 17, 1957 and passed away peacefully on April 17, 2021 surrounded by his wife and daughter’s. Fred was a loving husband, father, PAPA, godfather and friend. He was born and raised in EL Paso, TX. Fred was preceded in death by his mother (Celestina), father (Fred) several aunts, uncles and cousins. Survived by his sister Dolores Hernandez (Victor), his wife of 39 years, Sylvia Quintana Vigil, daughters, Vanessa Vigil, Jennifer Vigil, son Gabriel Vigil and his granddaughter he adored Jaylene Vigil. He had two granddaughters and one more on the way, several nieces, nephews and godchildren. He was an employee at Stagecoach Cartage Distribution for 30 years.
A passion for trucking driving was in his blood, where he got his calling, Texas Cowboy. He worked his entire life to provide for his family without any hesitation. We would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Ramirez, his staff as well as Dr. Arsenio Lopez, Nancy and Delia at Texas Oncology for the great care they provided for the past few years.
Visitation will be from 12pm to 4 pm, Sunday, May 9. 2021 at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina Dr. El Paso, TX, with rosary beginning at 2pm. Funeral services will be Monday, May 10, 2021 at 12pm at San Antonio de Padua Church. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery, 4848 Alps, El Paso, TX 79904. We ask as you attend the services to practice social distancing.
