Francisco L Flores, a husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle & father-in-law was received in the loving arms of our Lord on Monday, December 19, 2022. He was the fifth of twelve children born to Francisco D Flores & Guadalupe L Flores in Anthony NM on September 3, 1937.
From his humble beginnings, he worked tirelessly without complaint. From working at an early age in the fields of southern New Mexico alongside his father and siblings. Then, working at Asarco (Esmelda), Old El Paso Cannery and as an Electrician with his brother Tony at Anthony Electric. His strong & never-ending work ethic and humility were reflected in his everyday life which he passed down to his children.
He attended Gadsden Jr. High School in Anthony, N.M. He and his friends would drag race around town. He enjoyed playing and watching baseball, dancing, listening to Tejano & Mexican music, fishing., getting away with the family relaxing under the Vinton bridge, and from time to time working on his woodworking skills.
As a man of not many words, his quiet demeanor was inherited from his mother which was not lost in his quick wit and great sense of humor. His heart never forgot where he came from and loved to return home to visit family and friends.
Francisco is survived by his spouse, Celia G Flores; his son Jaime Flores (Leo); his son Javier Flores (Jessica); his son Ben Flores (Sandra); his daughter Becky Rodriguez (Joe); his daughter Patricia Sanchez; his son Frankie Flores (Bonnie); and his son Danny Flores; his brother Jose Flores, his brother Severiano Flores, his brother Mike Flores, his sister Annie Clark, his sister Catalina Garcia, his sister Josie Flores, his sister Mary Flores and his sister Ramona Delgado.
Francisco was preceded in death by his mother Guadalupe L Flores and his father Francisco Flores Sr; his sister Guadalupe Guerra, his brother Tony Flores and his brother Miguel Flores.
Francisco also leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
Visitation for Mr. Flores will be on January 2, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Vigil at 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79903. Funeral Mass will follow on January 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 3729 Hueco Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79903. Committal Service will follow at 12:30 PM at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 4848 Alps St., El Paso, Texas 79904.
