Estela's health declined over the past few months due to an unknown but serious medical condition. She succumbed to the medical condition after a short-term battle, during which she displayed courage in confronting this life challenge with a smile. Despite her pain, Estela emerged as a hero and stayed strong until the end.
Estela met the love of her life, Alberto, in Juarez, Mexico. They eventually married and then moved to the United States where they have lived ever since.
Estela was the mother of five daughters. She started working at Levi Strauss & Co in 1971 and remained employed there for 29 years until her retirement in April 2000. Estela was passionate about watching baseball and softball games, singing, playing the guitar, knitting blankets for her family, creating crafts, and spending time with her loved ones. After retiring, Estela spent time with a group of friends at the Memorial Park Senior Center, where she learned to do the crafts that she enjoyed.
Estela was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister. She is preceded in death by her Father Manuel Jaime Martinez, Mother Guadalupe Jaime Fraire, 2 Brothers, 3 Sisters, her husband Alberto Gallegos Gonzalez, daughter Lety Abogado and grandson Kenneth Michael Young.
She is survived by her sisters; Humbertha Flores and Maria D Cortez, brothers; Manolo Jaime and Julian Jaime, 4 daughters; Maria DeJesus (James) Young, Georgina Gallegos (Joe) Bischoff, Blanca Estela (Eddie) Gonzalez and Lorena (Henry) Slack; 3 grandsons, Albert Richard Rivera, Guillermo Alberto Abogado and Christopher Ivan Abogado; 8 granddaughters, Jennifer Ferrell, Candice Marie Featherston, Krystin Alishia Brakhage, Alyson Nicole Gonzalez, Stephanie Ashle Bischoff, Alare Lisset Slack, Karla Ariadne Slack and Renatta Itzel Slack; 3 great grandsons, Tomas J Ferrell, Dax Cooper Brakhage and Luka Carter Brakhage; 2 great granddaughters, Sadie Alexis Olalde and Angelique Jocelyn Rivera; 2 great-great granddaughters Isabella Olalde and Eden Olalde; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandsons-in-law, a great grandson-in-law, and great friends.
Estela will be honored in a Catholic Mass on October 02, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St Patrick’s Cathedral Catholic Church at 1118 N. Mesa St. 79902. The Catholic Mass will be live-streamed on Funeraria del Angel Central's Facebook page.
