Esteban Parra Jr. (Deedee) passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maria, whom was at his side at the time of his death. Loving children Esteban (Stephanie), Marisela (Fernando), and Julie (Rene). Proud grandfather of Ray Adrian, Julian, DeeDee, Gabrielle, Fernando and Sofia. He is further survived by siblings Julieta, Carlos, and Armida.
Esteban will be remembered as a loyal husband, loving father and caring grandfather. He thanked his wife every night before he went to sleep for her love and care. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, devout Catholic and parishioner at Holy Family Church. He prayed the rosary daily in honor of his faith. He enjoyed travel, gardening, reading, music and boy he loved his “cafesito.” His home was always open to family and friends and if you got lucky, you’d get to hear one of his adventures about “the good old days.”
Special thanks to nieces and nephews that were always present to give a helping hand; and Encompass Home Health for the wonderful and caring help he received.
Our hearts are broken but we look forward to the day we meet again.
Visitation will be at Holy Family Church on Tuesday, October 16 at 6pm followed by rosary at 7pm. Mass at Holy Family Church on Wednesday, October 17 at 9:30am. Burial at 11am at Fort Bliss Cemetery.
