We are sad to announce the passing of Enrique Vasquez of El Paso, Texas. He died at the age of 74 on April 21, 2023. Enrique passed away surrounded by his loved ones. Enrique was a family man who loved spending time with his Grandsons and being involved with their extra-curricular activities. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. He was a faithful man, loved his Country, and serving others.
Enrique had a passion for the Military, especially the Army as he served his country proudly for 30 years. He was very proud of his education which led him to become an Educator at Riverside High School. He taught Special Education for the past 25 years (right after his retirement from the Army). He was a man of discipline, pride, and patience. Special Education was his calling, and his students meant the world to him.
Enrique is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth Vasquez, his sons, Eric Alexander Vasquez and Mark Henry Vasquez, his grandsons Mark Henry Vasquez Jr. and De’Angelo Nicholas Perez, his sister Sandra Vasquez and his nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Enrique will be held Thursday May, 4, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM, at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer St, El Paso, Texas 79904. Funeral service will be Friday, May 05,2023 at 9:30 AM at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn followed by the Graveside Service with Full Military Honors at 10:30 AM at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Avenue.
