Dora was born in Ysleta, Texas a couple of months before the beginning of the Great Depression. Her first job was as a nursing assistant in the same hospital she passed away in (University Medical Center), back then known as R.E. Thomason General Hospital.
She was a devoted Catholic, wife, and mother. She always put everyone’s needs before her own. She made many sacrifices for those she loved. She was a strong woman who endured and overcame many hardships, obstacles, and challenges in her life guided by her strong faith in our Lord.
We will miss the special tamales and menudo you used to prepare for us during the holidays, but most of all we will miss your physical presence, and unconditional love and kindness you gave us no matter what.
We love you Mom!!
You will be greatly missed.
May the lord give you peace and joy for eternity in the Lord’s Kingdom.
Amen.
