I’m usually good at this but at the most random times. With grandpa Joe I wrote what I had to say at 3:00 a.m. It  just hit me.   I am grief stricken for several reasons. The obvious is that you’re gone. Other reasons include but not limited to being able to see you light up a room because that’s exactly what you did. Not hearing your laugh is the hardest, that was always my favorite. I watched you come into our lives and accept us, all of us. I was never forced to call you my grandma, you are and shall forever remain my grandmother. It’s because of that love and loveliness I watched you exude time and time again that I admired and loved you. I will never forget the day I first called you grandma. The brightest of lights could not have dimmed your reaction. I love the memories of seeing you and my other grandparents “double date” if you will. I know you and grandpa Joe looked forward to those occasions. As I think about the good, I can also see the bad. I know it was hard when your honey left. He was your soulmate. Watching your heart break and not being able to mend it was difficult. In the time that followed I knew it could never be the same. I didn’t want you to suffer anymore towards the end.  I wanted you to find peace, go home, no more heartache. You said grandpa kept trying to take you home, but the big man upstairs wasn’t exactly ready at that point in time. When the time came, I was filled with so much agony because you left us. It’s knowing that you left us that I was also filled with tears and peace. We are never ready for the people we love to leave us, but I knew you were wanting to go. It’s that and that alone that I find solace knowing you’re resting and your soul is happy dancing around with grandpa. There’s probably a big ole party and lots of beer! Thank you for taking in the Candelaria’s. Thanks for being a mom to my mom. Thank you for being an angel and a wonderful part of our lives. I love you grandma. We will all be reunited again someday.

Wow, what can I say? Only that I can’t believe this has happened. I’m still in denial. I believe it will take some time to process. Everything happened so fast. 
We had just celebrated your birthday. You had taken your “Just in case”, shower and you were ready for the party to begin.  You looked happy and beautiful as ever.  You were beaming. Your smile and happy go lucky attitude always makes me smile. 
I would like to thank you for always being there for me. Always giving me advice and pointing out when I was wrong. Helping me become a better person, mother, friend and daughter. Taking me under your wing, when you didn’t have too. Showing me what a great mother is to portray. 
You have no idea the impact you’ve had, not only on me but on everyone that came in contact with you, like Dad. 
You showed Dad patience, caring, kindness, respect, and most importantly LOVE. Not a love that comes from a mother to her children. Not a love that is form a child. But a love so deep and unconditional that only those that are pure at heart will understand. Again, you didn’t have to, 
but you did it anyway. Because that’s who you 
are. An Angel who was sent down to us for a brief 
moment to show us what Our Heavenly Father expects of us. Thank you for never pushing me away. For excepting me with all my faults and for the great privilege of calling me your daughter. 
I will miss our Sunday breakfasts and our shopping trips and most of all our long talks about life. I hope I make you proud. 
Please visit me in my dreams. I miss you so much and my heart really hurts because I know this world has lost a great soul. Nothing makes me happier than to know that Dad wrapped his loving arms around you as soon as you made it home.  I love you Mom. God bless you and tell 
Dad I love and miss him so much too. Now go have fun and watch over us.

I remember sitting at your table, eating dry biscuits with you and Mom. At the time, it was lost upon me what a great kindness that was. To have raised and fed your children, then to show the same love and kindness to their children. Sincerely, thank you for all you have done.

Grandma,
We are all gathered here today to gather around the number 1 person who we all loved. The 1 person we truly have lost we are all hurting the lost from I know that now but grandma Dora was and still is our family’s number 1 mentor and she was like a guardian and a mother and a mentor to us all. She was our version of Zordon the grand protector we are all learned a lot from her I have learned that some times the people we love and the people around us have there time that we spent with them. I now know that we can right our own ending’s but I need you to do something first to believe in the impossible can you do that because everybody around us has their time with us when they do. But this is about grandma Dora we did lose her unfortunately however we can all realize that we can all prosper together and understand that even though I learned alot from grandma Dora to smile  learn  laugh  hug  happiness and love  dream have goals  cook understanding and most important of all even  learning self discipline and even to know that I am both not alone and have a family. Of heroes you are all Earth’s Mightiest Heroes but Grandma Dora was our’s she  taught me that even in life we should never give up on ourselves never or ever no matter what even to treat each other with love and respect. Knowing us losing someone isn’t easy but we are all here together today coping and understanding and to gather and we are hurting but we know we are not alone as long we have each other together we are more we are family plus GRANDMA DORA is and was the most wise of us all  she is no longer in pain and is no longer suffering but she is now in a better place she did not die in vain but with honor and with dignity and respect she had the biggest heart of all The all knowing cosmic being of the Universe Grandma Dora.

You always treated me with love and respect.  Thank you for giving me a partner for life that has lifted me when I'm low and has given me "honey do this" lists that will keep me busy for the rest of my life.  I will always cherish our times together, flour tortillas and cheese that you would go to the dairy and get for us.
