Daniel “Danny” Robert Martinez, age 65, passed away on August 5, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving family. Danny was born on August 13, 1957 in El Paso Texas to Juan "Bola" and Bertha H. Martinez. At a young age he was known to be quite mischievous and lived life to its fullest. He played football and baseball in high school and his love of sports continued into adulthood. Danny loved his family, his dog Cesar, awesome music, the outdoors, great food, and the Dallas Cowboys. He always made everyone laugh with his one-liners, his colorful language, and his sound effects. He will be remembered as a kind soul who fought hard until the very end. In his famous words: Love ya, shuga! Until we meet again.
He is preceded in death by his father, Juan (Bola) Martinez. He is survived by his mother, Bertha H. Martinez; beloved sister and brother-in-law, Cyndi and Tito Cardoza; beloved nieces Amanda Cardoza (Leonard Trujillo), Seleste Cardoza-Comer (Robert Comer); grandnephews Luca Sol Trujillo and Dante Thaddeus Comer; and his beloved dog, Cesar.
Memorial Services for Danny will be held on Friday, 8/25/23 with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM, followed by a 10:00 AM Chapel Service with Inurnment to take place at Evergreen Cemetery East at 11:00 AM.
