Mr. Zavala,
We were shocked and saddened to hear of Ms. Zavala’s passing. May you, your son and family find comfort in her precious memory and May God help you during your time of need. Mrs. Zavala was always so good to my now grown children, Ricardo & Amanda Barba at Del Norte. We will never forget the cheerful person and wonderful educator she was. Our sincerest condolences to you, your son and family!

Claudia, I have such fond memories of you from growing up.  You always brightened every room you entered, and I remember that well from family parties and holidays together.  You always carried so much warmth, love and empathy for everyone around you.  You had such an infectious laugh and smile and people just wanted to be around you. You cared so much for your students, and your memory will live on in them. You cared so much for your family - Rudy and Ben, most importantly, - and your memory will live on in us and we will strive to serve people as you did and to spread love and kindness as you did.  Here is a photo from a Christmas dinner from 2005.  You and Rudy, and with Uncle Sam behind you.  You will be so missed.  I am sending my condolences as well as Rudy and Ben.  I love you all.    

My sincerest condolences to Rudy Zavala and Benjamin Zavala on the passing of your wife and mother. I will never forget Claudia’s beautiful smile and her vibrant personality. It was always “Hi, girlfriend!” She always lit up the room when she entered. I remember when she told me she wanted me to be her son’s fourth grade teacher and he was still in kindergarten. My heart is heavy knowing that we lost such an amazing person.  Mrs. Zavala was a beautiful person inside and out.  Just talking to her made me feel so at ease.  One of our last conversations was how we need to take care of ourselves physically, mentally and in spirit because life is too short.  She impacted so many and Heaven is lucky to have gained an angel. Rest In Peace, my friend! 🙏🏻 🥰

Mrs. Zavala was such a kindhearted, beautiful soul. If I or anyone else needed help or support she was there without a second thought. Words cannot describe the loss and pain Ben, and Mr. Zavala are experiencing at this very moment. Mrs Zavala was an educator, and one of the greatest human beings I ever had the privilege of knowing. I am forever grateful for the generosity and love Mrs. Zavala showed my eldest child Chenille and the many students whom she influenced over the years at Glen Cove elementary school. Mrs Zavala will be forever missed in the community by the many lives she assisted over the years to include her family and friends. Again I am deeply saddened by the news of Mrs. Zavala's passing. Myself, Eddie Sida, her former student Chenille and family send our deepest prayers and condolences. Please if you need anything please let us know. Again thank you Mrs. Zavala for always mentoring my daughter and for all your help over the years. Heaven sure gained a special angel.
