Maria Christina (Chris) Moreno 84, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on June 9, 2022. She was a life-time resident of El Paso and a graduate of Jefferson High School.
She loved sewing, playing Scrabble and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Moreno, father Gavino Parra, mother Dolores Parra, brother Bobby Parra and sisters, Eleanor Rios and Dolores McDonald.
She is survived by sibling Ignacio Parra. Children are Joseph Moreno (Kari), Barbara Hannah, Lorraine Ochoa, Charlie Moreno (Liz) and Michael Moreno (Valerie), 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Christina will be missed by many and will always be loved by everyone whose life she touched.
A visitation for Christina will be held Monday, July 11, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A vigil will occur Monday, July 11, 2022 at 7:00 PM, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 7712 Rosedale St, El Paso, Texas 79915. An inurnment will occur Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery East, 12400 East Montana, El Paso, Texas 79938.
