Catalina Chavez

Mrs. Catalina Chavez has gone to be with our Lord on Wednesday January 23, 2019. She is survived by Daughters, Guadalupe Lewis, Blanca Talamantes, Son Eduardo Chavez, Paula Nimroozi, Sarah Tarin and Lorena Chavez, 11 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren and 5 sons in law that loved her dearly. A great legacy she left her daughters and son were her Jewish roots.

Mrs. Chavez was a very well rounded, highly educated and talented woman.

Loved by many people in El Paso, her greatest joy was being a Foster Grandmother with the public schools and loved by many children that loved her from childhood to adulthood.

Visitation will be held Monday January 28, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Central. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday January 29, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Patrick Cathedral with Interment to follow at Evergreen East Cemetery. Celebration of her life reception to be held at Mrs. Chavez’s home at 3829 Johnson Street.
