Carmen Cecilia Padilla, passed on Saturday, December 25th. Cecy, as many knew her, graduated to glory into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a six-week fight and complications with respiratory issues. She was born May 6, 1956 to Pablo Garcia and Evangelina Rios Garcia. Her father preceded her in death.
Cecilia is survived by her loving husband, Oscar Padilla of El Paso, TX and sons Gabriel Padilla and Michael Padilla, whom she dearly loved. She is also survived by her mother, Evangelina Garcia and siblings Elizabeth Camacho (Juan Francisco), Aracely Camacho (Juan Manuel), Norma Castillo (Luis), Ricardo Garcia (Consuelo), Sonia Gaytan (Omar), Cindy Soto, Lorie Millirone (Tom), Claudia Chiasson (Chris), and many special nieces, nephews and an extended family of precious friends.
Cecilia grew up in El Paso, TX and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at El Paso.
Cecilia was a member of Word of Life Church of El Paso,Texas where she successfully completed training and examination and was ordained by Bishop Tom Brown as a deacon January 14, 2021. She served with a humble, gentle spirit wherever needed. Cecilia was diligent as a member of the clergy team at Word of Life as well as the Thursday Morning Pray-ers Ministry. She served several years as a member of the 3-Dimensional Women Conference Planning Team and was the Event Manager for the annual conference hosted by Jesus Club International.
Cecy loved to spend time with the Lord in personal prayer, worship and study of God's Word. In the summer of 2021, Cecy and Oscar made an unforgettable, life impacting trip to Missouri and were blessed to be at the First Nations Tribal gathering and attend the Billye Brim Ministries World Wide Pray-ers gathering on Prayer Mountain.
A special Reflections of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 Zaragosa Road, El Paso, Texas 79936. Visitation from 4pm to 5pm. Reflections of Life Service from 5pm to 6pm.
