He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and wife. He is survived by his children, Elizabeth (Tony) Venegas, Carmen (John) Wilburn, Margaret (Tim) Wehrfritz, Carlos (Trisha) Gonzalez, Grandchildren, Camille (Rob), Kristen (Ricky), Rebecca ( Mikey), TJ (Hayley), Cisco, Bethany (Elizabeth), Scott, Missy (Jacob) and great grandchildren, Angel, Heather, Killian, Rylan, and Saint . He is also survived by his brother Teddy (Mary) Madrid, brother-in-law Salvador (Terry) Martinez, and sister-in-law Elvira Mains, and many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
He served in the United States Army, worked for El Paso Dairies for 37 years until he retired. He was a devoted husband and father, and always put his family first. He was an amazing father and grandfather. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will cherish all the wonderful times they spent together in his backyard having barbecues and Sunday breakfast.
He will be greatly missed.
A visitation for Carlos will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Vigil Service at 6:00 pm at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 North Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, Texas 79936. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church & Parish, 519 S Latta St, El Paso, TX 79905. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
