Aurora Anna Rocha, known to her loved ones as Rory, passed away on August 8, 2023, at the age of 93 in Canutillo, Texas. She was born on February 27, 1930. Aurora was a beloved member of her community and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Aurora was preceded in death by her husband, Jose A. Rocha, and her infant daughter, Marylou. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Manuela Salcido, and her siblings, Amalia, Luis Jr., Roberto, Guadalupe, Felizano, Francisco, Josephine, and Juan.
Aurora is survived by her sons: Patricio A. Rocha (Julie) and Guillermo Rocha (Kathryn); daughters: Evangelina R. Torres (Juan) and Marylou R. Prado (Joe); grandchildren: Francisco Rocha (Scott), Michael P. Rocha, Jose A. Torres, Eric J. Rocha, Eva Lupe Torres-Mora (Rene), Chris Schoemann (Adriana), Juanita Torres, Leslie Kabus (Bart), Rosie Schoemann, and Joe David Prado; great-grandchildren: Ana S. Mora, Rene Mora Jr, and Bart Kabus Jr. She also leaves behind her beloved furbaby, Jack.
Throughout her life, Aurora had a fulfilling career as a Supervisor at the Old El Paso canning company. She took great pride in her work and made lasting contributions to the company.
Aurora was a devout member of Saint Patrick church in Canutillo, where she served as the president of Las Guadalupanas for many years. Her faith was an important part of her life and brought her comfort and strength.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 5 pm to 9 pm, with a Rosary at 7 pm at Saint Patrick catholic church in Canutillo. A Mass will follow on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 9 am, with burial to follow. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and honor Aurora's life during these services.
Aurora Anna Rocha will forever be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering faith, and dedication to her family and community. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
