Alfredo Armando Gonzalez, 83, passed away on May 1, 2023. Alfredo’s passion was education, his family and his faith. He retired from being an educator and was a Past President (1989-90) of the Association For Compensatory Educators of Texas. He was also a parishioner at Queen of Peace, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his loving wife Maria Luisa Gonzalez, children; Maria Luisa Barber (Richard), Jesus Manuel Gonzalez, and Alfredo Alfonso Gonzalez (Yvonne). He is also survived by his grandchildren; Mireya (Edgar), Julian, Vicente, Alika, Erik, Hannah, Megan and his great-grandchildren Valerie and Edgar Jr, and his faithful companion Onyx.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:30 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1551 Belvidere.
