Aaron was my dad. Let me tell you, he was the best dad I could ask for. From deep conversations to making us laugh, he did his best to keep all three of us happy. Me, Mom, and Bridgette, my sibling. He loved all of us dearly, especially Mom, who he rarely argued with. His absence has brought the three of us closer together, even though we miss him so. I wish he could see the me I'm becoming. Since his death, I've considered taking the same path as he did, and I don't mean that in a positive or light way. I too considered suicide, but with each passing day, I'm getting better.  I try to remember that life isn't all bad, and that there are things worth living for. He would want me to live a long, happy life. Thank you for being in my life, Dad. May you rest in peace.

I am so upset to hear that Aaron has passed away. I remember when he went with my daughter, Tracy, to karaoke probably 2001.  I dragged him up to sing “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around”.  He was such a good sport about it. He didn’t want to sing. Fun memory.  I know he will live on in your hearts. God bless! 

I am deeply saddened to hear this. Really enjoyed getting to know him when he worked here at the Tampa weather station. Prayers to his family during this extremely  difficult time 😢

Aunt Boo & Uncle Howard Treadwell

I first met my nephew Aaron when we went to his Dad Lou's and my Sister Dorcie's home in Tomah, WI while she was stationed at Ft. McCoy. He was young and just buzzing around the whole time we were there, I remember the drum playing very vividly. That is when I first heard him recite movie lines, always funny ones and do impersonations at the same time. Throughout the years he matured but always maintained that humor and it was a pleasure spending happy times with him. We loved hearing all the funny stories of his growing up years in Germany, WI and FL by him and others. He was a magnet for friends and had many which is a true testament of his personality. When we came back to settle in Florida we lived at Dorcie's and Lou's and had the pleasure of meeting Aaron's wife Laura and daughter Josie for the first time. What a little joy Josie was, especially when she went on her daily nature walks/hunts with Grandpa Lou. We also were able to meet baby Bridgette and spend time with her while Lou and Dorcie watched them both. Unfortunately we never spent any further time with them due to their move to El Paso but periodically we shared notes back and forth.
We were so saddened to hear of Aaron's passing and can't even comprehend how his wife and children feel for he was such a large presence in their lives, also the unbelievable ache of losing a sibling as Sister's Jessica and Jennifer have had to and I don't think I will ever understand how a parent say's goodbye to their child as Terrie, Lou and Dorcie have had to. My only hope is that Aaron is resting in Peace and that some day we shall meet again, he will be missed.

The world knew you as Aaron, weatherman Storms, and most importantly daddy.  But I knew you as Ratboy, broseph, brosephina, Precious, pain in the ass, and other awful nicknames that I was required to call you—as my little brother.  I got a tattoo for you the other day, as you were the Calvin to my Hobbes.  I wore a Buckeyes shirt and told a zombie joke at your funeral, you would have been very proud.  What am I supposed to do now?  You were my person.  The one I would go to when I was having a rough time.  From here on out I will do everything I can to contact anyone I can to help make it more difficult for people suffering from mental illnesses to purchase guns.  From here on out I will help to ensure a good future for your girls.  And for you I will go on everyday, I will carry you in my heart little brother always.  Miss ya, love ya, bye.

Aaron is one of my best friends from junior high. It was right around the time of dial-up internet. I remember how cool it was. We were in a musical together, Crazy Camp. He played Clams Marinara, a ruthless gangster. I still sing songs from that musical in my head. His family let me stay with them while my dad went out of town for work. It was the longest I had ever stayed somewhere else. Hearing of his death makes me sad and cry because he was so fun and he made an impact on my life. If his family gets this please know he is instantly missed and loved by someone who knew him so long ago.

Aaron was my cousin, he was three years older than me and I always looked up to him as the big brother that I never had. 

When we were living in Tampa, some of the best memories in my life was hanging out with him, going fishing, going to Disneyland, and playing video games at his house. If there's one thing I remember the most about Aaron, it was his sense of humor. He always had something funny to say in any situation. 

I always thought I would be able to see him again one day after all these years had passed. RIP buddy, I will miss you and the fun times we had together.  


Happy heavenly birthday, my dear friend!  Every single interaction was a joy, you always brought a smile to my face and of course a laugh.  From our days in Germany, our visits in Florida, my stops in SLC to see your awesome wife and daughters, and our occasional texts about the Buckeyes or phone calls, I will be one of many that will forever miss these interactions. I can still hear you saying "Ralphie the Fish" with your best NY gangster accent, and you will always be "Stormsee Bormsee".  As hard as it is to say goodbye, I want to thank you for the memories, which will be filled with smiles from times I'll always cherish, and tears for not being able to add more.  RIP my friend.

I am Aaron’s mother’s cousin .  Our family is all across country so we do not see each other often.
Aaron’s mother used to tell us about her beautiful wonderful children, and how much she loved them.  We had never met Aaron 
till his mother called us and told us that Aaron was moving to Houston and could we help him get set up.
Our son is the same age as Aaron and as cousins the two hung out .
 I remember a bad hurricane was all over the news and it was going 
to be bad , people were fleeing Houston.
I called Aaron and asked him should we leave he said go out in your 
backyard and look to the SE . the storm is going into deep east Texas ..I’m going to bed.....He was working for U weather then. 
 It is amazing how much Aaron looks like my uncle Joe , Aaron’s grandfather . I can only imagine the discussions in heaven between 
Aaron and Grandpa Joe about Ohio State

Aaron was one of the good people we all will miss him. 



Aaron, I’ll always treasure showing you and Jessie around Belfast that New Years Day. You were a thoughtful and kind gentleman. My condolences to Laura, Josie, Bridgette, Jessie and the wider Storms Family and all of Aaron’s friends. Rest In Peace my friend.

I have been devastated to hear about my cousin's passing. As Aaron's cousin, I have a lot of memories with him. He was always so sharp and witty. He was always joking around, making everyone laugh. I remembered a time I had a panic attack during a movie and he was really concerned and sympathetic to me. I'm so grateful that during the pandemic we were able to catch up . I'm grateful that I got a chance to tell him that I loved him. I wish I knew that he was hurting inside. My heart breaks for Laura and his daughters, for his sisters Jessica and Jennifer and for my Uncle Lou and Aunt Dorcie. 
"Aaron, Though you had to let go of this world to find peace, we hold on to your memory in our hearts, so you live forever. We will never forget you .

I met Aaron in middle school in Tomah, Wisconsin. He was only in Tomah for about a year, but he became one of my best friends. He was intelligent, quick-witted, and hilarious. We kept in touch throughout the years, and he visited Tomah again 10 years later when we were older. We would usually reconnect around our birthdays since they were back-to-back. It was always great to hear from him, and I would look forward to his humor. I remember our trips to the movies (like “Angus”, and “To Wong Foo,”), and hours of laughter at all the get-togethers during that school year. I’m grateful for the fond memories of the funny kid with his hair dyed green.

I went to elementary school with Aaron in Newark, Ohio. He was the “littlest Christmas tree” in our school play and I’ve always remembered him for that and so have other classmates of ours. He was just so gentle and sweet. He wasn’t in Ohio for long but we kept in touch after all those years and he was always so witty and funny. Seeing him with his family over the years through social media always made me smile. One can never know the pain someone else may be hiding. I hope now that he is finally in peace. My heart is with his family during this devastating time. 

I wish a had a memory of Aaron. Regrettably, I was never privileged to meet and get to know him. I know what a tough time this for all of you. I lost my dad to brain cancer when I was 15 and my brother was 10.  I have gathered, through what I've read online, that you have a wonderful network of support through friends and family members. I am so grateful for that! I will keep you and your family members in my thoughts and prayers. B

Aaron, your Uncle Fred and I remember lovingly when you came and stayed with us for a bit on the farm as well as when your Uncle, myself, you, your father, and Dorcie all flew to Hawaii for your sister's wedding......it was a great time. We will always remember your vibrant smile and silliness. We will be there for your father and Dorcie in this sad time......they both loved you very much and always will. RIP sweet boy.

I don't remember him through my own experiences, but my parents always told me about 'Storms'. They told me about how great of a man he was and that he helped us through hard times. The type to give the shirt off his back. I was only a kid when I met him but I've always known he was the salt of the earth. He is missed dearly.

I got to know storms in weather tech school. We went to Germany together as our first duty assignment. Super smart guy and quick with a joke. He was like a brother to me in those times. We would listen to the band Cake and try to sing like them. A talented man with a huge heart. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
