Born December 14, 1937 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of James and Ava Green Redd. Mrs. Thomason had been a hairdresser for over 55 years, owning Marie's Beauty Shop for many years and later working in other shops and going to nursing homes for her customers. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Norphlet.
Preceding her in death along with her parents were her sisters, Virginia Milliken, Jimmie Lee and Janie Hart along with a daughter-in-law, Amy Thomason.
Survivors include her children; son, Brad Thomason (Benita), daughter, Cynthia Vines (Brandon) and son, Chris Thomason all of El Dorado along with a sister, Clara Roach of Marysville, California. Surviving grandchildren are Colton Thomason, Tyler Thomason, William Sprayberry and Keylin Vines.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Young's. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at First United Methodist Church in Norphlet with Rev. Amanda Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Cemetery on Pigeon Hill Road under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
