He served two years in the Canadian Army, two years in the United States Army, and retired after 19 years of service in the United States Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for the Texarkana, AR police and fire department and later worked as a long haul truck driver. Roger enjoyed motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and golfing.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Betty Lowery LeBlanc of Junction City; three sons, Mark LeBlanc (Mary) of Junction City, Regan LeBlanc, Robert Glasgow of Junction City; daughter, Rachelle Clark (Chris) of Junction City; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and along with his extended Canadian family and friends, Lyla Kegler and Gwen Hickmott (Paul) and families.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Young’s Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at Scotland Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Scotland Presbyterian Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
