Grady Kenneth "Kenny" Culpepper, 75 of Memphis, TN passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. Born July 13, 1948 in El Dorado, AR, he was the son of John Grady and Norma Jean Lucas Culpepper. Kenny was a devoted husband, father, and Papa whose family remembers him for his constant support and always-present sense of humor.
Kenny was a proud member of the 114th Evacuation Hospital Unit of the Army Reserves for six years. After working as a barber, he became a plant manager during his career with Jack Winter Mfg. in Junction City, AR, Todd Uniform in Bernice, LA, and VF Corp, Radio Shack, and UPS Corp, all in Memphis, TN. Kenny served as a deacon of First Baptist Church Bernice, LA and R.A. leader, Sunday School teacher, and youth group leader there. He was a current member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, TN.
Preceding him in death along with his parents were his brother Norman LeRoy Culpepper, sister Sandra Kaye (Sandy) Lindsey, and nephew Clint Culpepper.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years, Ann Price Culpepper of Memphis, TN, son Scott Culpepper and spouse Ginger, daughter Mandy Willig and spouse James; sisters-in-law Debra Goodwin and spouse James, Connie Culpepper, and Annette Culpepper; nephews Jake Goodwin and spouse Brittni, Deano Dawson and spouse Susie, Greg Lindsey, Bryce Vaughn, Josh Culpepper and spouse Samantha; nieces Jill Sanders and spouse Jim, Gwynn Culpepper, Rene’ Lindsey and spouse Max, Sharon Gay and spouse Chris, Taylor Culpepper; grandchildren Micah Culpepper and spouse Andrew, Josiah Culpepper and spouse Maggie, Hannah Culpepper and spouse Hunter, Carmen Willig, James Nicholas Willig, and numerous other loving cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 on Thursday, June 6th at Canaan Baptist Church in Spearsville, Louisiana with a graveside service to follow there under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
