Johnny Douglas Parker, 87, of El Dorado passed away, Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. He was born on December 10, 1934 to Lonnie Jerrell and Lois Butcher Parker in Calion, AR.
He was retired from Miller Trucking and was a Mason. Johnny was an avid outdoorsman, commercial fisherman, he was a turtleman, frogs and enjoyed hunting. He loved to cook for his deer camp. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church and served as trustee. Johnny loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his church.
Preceding him in death are his parents, siblings, Sherrell Parker, Evelyn Mayfield, Billy Joe Parker, aunt, Ruby Phillips, and son-in-law, David Presswood.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce Parker of El Dorado; children, Danny Parker of Monroe, LA, Gail Presswood of Benton, AR, Linda Allison (Roger) of Benton, AR, James Douglas Parker (Kayla) of El Dorado; grandchildren, Danielle Spencer (Michael) of El Dorado, D.J. Parker of Little Rock, AR, Aron Presswood of Benton, AR, Cody Presswood of Spingfield, MO, Joshua Allison (Alysia) of Lowell, AR, Christina Pranger of Benton, AR, Payton Parker; great grandchildren, Audrey Spencer of El Dorado, Gabriel Parker of Little Rock, AR, Leo Pranger of Benton, AR; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Bible Baptist Church with Mark Staples and Bobby Tucker officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Champagnolle Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Amison, Brandon Jenkins, Joshua Allison, Phillip Staples, Kenny Parker, Joe Weido, and Matt Weido.
