Born September 4, 1924 in El Dorado, Arkansas the son of Dewey Lee and Maggie Perdue Deason. Mr. Deason was the owner/operator of Amoco Service Station in El Dorado along with his brother. He was member of the Mt. Holly Presbyterian Church.
“Little Man” was a humble, hardworking man who enjoyed raising cattle, gardening, hunting and fishing. He was proud that he was able to pass down his love of the outdoors to his son, Shane along with his skills of hunting and fishing.
In addition to enjoying all the above pastimes in the 1970’s and 1980’s he worked as a service station attendant for Jake Carnes Amoco on North West Avenue.
Preceding him in death along with his parents were his wife, Ganata Jo Deason; and brother, Harvey Deason.
Survivors include his son, William Shane Deason (Connie); two grandchildren, Amber M. Dews (Lamar) and Chase Deason; great grandchildren, Dawson Dews, Dylan Dews, Gavin Deason, Haven Deason all of Mt. Holly, AR; sister, Louise Kurbow (Bill) of Hot Springs, AR and one niece and three nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Bethel Cemetery, Highway 57, Mt. Holly, AR under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev. Larry Goza officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Young’s.
