Glenn Ray Wilson, age 65, of Lillie, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation. Glenn was born November 14, 1956 the son of Willis Watkins Wilson and Marie Langley Wilson in El Dorado, AR.
Glenn graduated from Parkers Chapel in 1975 and Southern Arkansas University in 1980, majoring in English and Journalism. He worked as night editor and photographer for the El Dorado News Times and later worked as purchaser for Great Lakes Chemical for 33 years. He was a life-long member of West Side Baptist Church. Glenn was a multi-talented hobbyist, of which included many years of photography, songwriting, guitar playing, and an unmatched ability to showcase his architectural, carpentry, and landscaping skills. Glenn was always a person to be relied on amongst family and friends as the one who could show you how and help you do it.
Preceding him in death are his parents; son, James Andrew Wilson, and daughter, Julie Marie Wilson.
Survivors are sons, Matt Wilson of Lillie, LA, Sean Wilson (Hannah) of Homer, LA; honorary daughter, Katie Roberson of Parkers Chapel; brothers, Gary Wilson (Ruby) of El Dorado, Jimmy Wilson (Linda) of Hampton; sister, Glenda Kay Oliver (Frank) of Wesson; along with two grandchildren, Sawyer and Quinn Wilson and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6 pm to 8 pm at Young's Funeral Directors. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Shiloh Cemetery with Rev. J.D. Weido officiating.
