Earl "Sonny" Jackson Irby

Born on June 14, 1960 in Shreveport, LA; Earl was the son of Clara Irby Welch.

Earl attended Hopewell Baptist Church and was a self-employed carpenter.

Earl was preceded in death by his half-brother, James Darren Rinehart.

Survivors are his wife, Sheila Cowsar Irby of El Dorado, AR; his mother, Clara Irby Welch; a half-sister, Cynthia Welch both of Goreville, IL; half-brothers, Mark Welch Brandon, MS and Martin Welch Florence, MS; step-daughters, Kristy Burdine and Pamela Martinius both of El Dorado; step-sons, Allen Presler of Plain Dealing, LA, Nathan Peek and Ryan Peek both of Bossier City, LA, maternal grandmother, Oneta Christmas of Pine Bluff, AR; along with 7 step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Grant Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the church.
