David Elliott Burson

David was a historian at heart who loved to read and collect memorabilia about the wars, particularly the Civil War. He also studied sports, analyzed teams, their scores and stats, and knew more things about the players and teams than most should.

Most had no idea he loved to write short stories about growing up and that he loved to collect depression glass and refrigerator magnets.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Elliott and Ann Burson, an infant brother Lewis Brian Burson, an infant sister Angela Lee Burson, and sister Lori LeAnne Hudman.

Surviving him are his brother Mitch Burson (Carrie) of Strong, AR; nephew Buck (Anne, great nieces Dallie and Clancy) Mathews of Waldron, AR; niece Brandy Jeffrey (great niece Paisley) of Mansfield, AR; nephew Tory (Kristy Newman, great nieces Emery and Ella) Burson of Strong, AR, nephew Taylor (Callie, great nephews Ryker and Jet) Burson of Strong, AR; and niece Terra Kate Burson of Strong, AR. Also surviving are Uncles Jerry Burson and Mike Burson and Aunt Dianne Ballard.

A private family burial will take place at the Strong Cemetery at a date to be determined.
