Born February 11, 1955 in El Dorado, he was the son of Nathan Bert and Etta Stancil Yarbrough, Jr. Danny was co-owner of Big Bucks Pawn and Gun in El Dorado and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
From a young age, Danny reveled in the great outdoors, embracing a wide array of activities, from water skiing and scuba diving to golfing and hunting. His unwavering passion for the Arkansas Razorbacks was only rivaled by the joy he found in spending quality time with his family, especially delighting in playful moments with his cherished grandkids. His competitive spirit truly shone when he took to the race track in go kart riding.
Danny’s lively spirit was also evident in his talent for cracking dad jokes, infusing humor into everyday life and brightening the days of those in his company. Danny dedicated the latter years of his life to working alongside his brother at the pawnshop, creating lasting memories and strengthening their bond.
Danny will be profoundly missed by his loving family and friends who will forever cherish the memories and special moments they shared with him.
Preceding him in death along with his parents was a sister, Jackie Ann Yarbrough.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy McCaskill Yarbrough of El Dorado and daughters, Danielle Purvis (George) of Eureka Springs, AR and Lindsey Hines (Jason) of El Dorado. Also surviving is a brother, David Yarbrough of El Dorado and grandchildren, Carter Brooks, Miles Purvis and Dawson Hines.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 10, 2023 at Young's. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Bro. Clark Whitney officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
