Charito was such a kind woman with a big heart.  She always had a smile when I talked with her.  She took time to visit my husband regularly during the last year of his life, despite her own health issues.  Rest in peace sweet lady.

Jimmy and I and our sons James  and Joel join Wayne and the extensive family and friends in the sorrow of the loss of Charito. She left us too soon but we have to accept it as God’s plan and infinite goodness.
We lost the glue that kept the family together. She is certainly missed. We thank God for giving her to us.
She and Wayne are one of the most generous people we know. They did not hesitate to share their blessings not just with family but with all who are deserving.
We would like to be there to bid our last farewell but because of our present circumstances please know that our love and prayers are with all of you specially Wayne.
We hope the 9 days novena prayers for Charito led by the San Lorenzo prayer group has brought some consolation to those who have participated both here in the USA and the Philippines.
We look forward to the time we can  all be together again in God’s glory.

Girly, we will always remember you as a happy, humble person with a golden heart, whose smile and demeanor make us feel wanted and at peace with everyone. Thank you Girly and Wayne for your generosity and love for the poor students in Bani whom you have given a lifetime opportunity to finish college and transform into more productive persons. What a blessed life you have led! We are sure Jesus has welcomed you with a big smile.

It’s surreal writing about you in past tense, auntie. In our world you are on the terrace with Wayne wishing us welcome when we come visit. In our world, you’ll soon come visit the land Inca is running around on now. You’d be so happy for her. Inca, who loves you so dearly, the kids who adore you and see you as one of their grandmothers, who have spent nearly every Christmas and holiday in your kitchen surrounded by family and feeling so loved since the day they were born. 

We are so sad we never got to say goodbye, never got to tell you how much we love you, how loved we have always felt by you - you have always made us feel like we’re your own children, like our children are your grandchildren - you have been our safe place, our support, our home away from home. 

If we had the opportunity to give you just one more hug we would also tell you - Thank you for being such a big part in making Milou’s and Phoebe’s childhood so magical & beautiful - thank you for always making extra pancit when we come over because you know we love them, for always keeping an extra bag of eggs aside for the little kids so they wouldn’t be left empty handed when the big kids went on their Easter egg hunts. Thank you for coming to “grandparents day” at Milou’s school when her grandmothers were across the other side of the world so she wouldn’t be alone. Thank you for being such an incredible role model for our children in what it means to be a kind, loving human. 

We are so sad this world has lost someone so special and kind. We are also sad that we never got to tell you just how much you mean to us. But most of all we are so grateful to have had you in our lives ❤️ We hope you’re up there with Winston, laughing, reminiscing, feeling loved and at peace. I hope he’s making you his chicken soup and that you’re shouting to the rest of your family and friends up there: “OK GUYS, LET’S EAT!”

Girly was the best at almost everything. She brought happiness fun and a welcoming Spirit to every occasion. She was a Supernatural host traveling with our family group in the Philippines providing help in all aspects, going Way Beyond what a travel agent could do to make us comfortable while having a joyful and exhilarating time throughout the country. When our own tragedy struck she was there to provide consolation, empathy and love in abundance. My prayers go up for you Wayne and family.
I know the Lord has prepared a wonderful place for her in heaven.
