It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Melvin Dahlen, on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the age of 69. Rob passed away peacefully in his sleep, with his wife Laurie, by his side.
Predeceased by his grandson Bailey, his parents Arnold & Joan Dahlen, and his sister Brenda. Rob is survived by his wife of 45 years, Laurie, and his four beautiful daughters Jacqueline (Dylan), Michelle (Sheldon), Victoria, and Cheryl (Matthew) and his 7 grandchildren, Isaac, Logan, Kayden, Miley, Essence, Francis and Evelyn, and his faithful companion, friend and dog, Bella.
Also mourning his loss are his brother Laine (Penny), his sister Marilyn, as well as many dear family members and friends.
Rob had strong family values and was at his happiest surrounded by family. He also enjoyed watching hockey, baseball, and enjoyed activities such as fishing, camping, and hiking, of which all of his family have special memories of.
A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held on Saturday October 19, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810 – 34 Avenue, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
