Retired Cst. Richard (HUTCH) Hutchinson has passed away at the age of 69 on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Carol. Son, Rick (Linda) his children: Alicia, great grand-daughter Danika, Jamie, Amanda Stevens. Daughter, Jacquie (Brad) Warkentin, her children Brianne, Brittani. Daughter, Sherri (Jer) Milne, her children Kaity, Rory.
Hutch was predeceased by his parents Eugene and Margaret Hutchinson, as well as his son JayR.
Hutch served with the Edmonton Police Department for 35 years. Those who knew him, knew he loved his job, it was his second family. After retirement from the force, Hutch started a new career driving bus for 10 years with Cunningham Transportation.
A viewing will be held Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 7:00-9:00pm; at First Memorial Funeral Services- Harmony Chapel. 10541-81ave Edmonton.
Memorial service will be held at Calvary Community Church (Millwoods Christian) 8704 Mill Woods Road NW Edmonton. Saturday January 31, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Edmonton Police Veteran’s Association, Alberta Diabetes Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
