It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Rajendranath Woosaree at the age of 62 years. He was born in Moka, Mauritius and came to Canada in 1989 with his family. He will be greatly missed forever by his loving wife Bassantee, son Chandan, daughter-in-law Deepa, daughter Tharuna Devi, son-in-law Sarwan Girdhari, and grandchildren Sahisht, Rayna, and Vaishnavi Devi; Mother Roopaotee; brothers Lekraj, Shantaram, Jaykrishan, Chandraeswar, Jairaj, and Reeshi; Sisters Devi and Balwantee, and their respective families including numerous nephews, nieces, grandchildren and friends. Rajen was very lovingly called “Soul”; he was an affectionate father, loving husband, caring brother and a generous grandfather.
He was known for his positive, loving, and carefree attitude. He saw the good in everyone and was the first to bring family together on many occasions. His legacy was to live a good and compassionate life with family being at the center of it. May his soul rest in peace.
