One of the best trips for mom is enjoying fresh own catch crabs in Victoria, British Columbia. Mom's  favorite seafood is crab. She said best time ever n she ate her heart out😋😅😆🤣

We had the privilege to meet Aunt Wong a few times over the past 20 years. Aunt Wong also had the opportunities to join our cell group Bible study and gatherings whenever she was in Kudat. Our last cell group gathering with Aunt Wong, her brother and his wife was at Elder Fong's house. Aunty Wong was friendly and we enjoyed her company. Even with such a brief moment shared with me and my family spent together with her in both Bukit Mertajam and Penang, we had one of the most amazing times with her and we feel a terrible great loss hearing the fall of such a great lady. Always with a face full of joy and with a big heart when talking with us. Definitely felt as if we were speaking to our own mother whenever we spoke. Hello Aunty, Oh I am so sad and heartache to hear your passing, I don't know what to say. We will all miss you in Kudat. You always come back every so often and you always visit us in the shop. Our last time with you was in Fran's house watching sunset and stargazing. It was a beautiful/colorful sunset and a starry night, the sky was all lit up with thousands of stars. We enjoyed some food and we had such a fun time with you, Fran, Ray and my family. We are happy that you have lived such a long and happy life and that you also past away peacefully, it's a real blessing. May your soul rest in peace 🙏 🙏

I feel very lucky to have my dearest Gu Ma attending my wedding back in 2003. Whenever I was with her, she was always full of joy and laughter. 

Gu Ma was a very talented cook, I tasted once her fantastic curry fish  head (咖喱鱼头）when I was probably 13 years old and to this day I cannot forget how delicious it was. Anyone who loved her cooking would eat few bowls of rice to be satisfied. It was simply the best! Gu Ma is forever missed and on our hearts. All whom loved her dearly will never forget her warmth, grace and love and caring for them.

Grandma always made people smile. People would often look to me as we were leaving to say how adorable and sweet she was. She was very strong willed and a fighter to the end. I had such good fond memories while staying with grandma and grandfather during my late pregnancy stage till gave birth to my son in Miri 21 years ago.

Grandma was a well-known cook in our family. I loved her favourite dishes such as 红糟肉/鸡, 炒白粿干 and chicken feet with red fermented beancurd. She gave me her beatiful “Baju Kebaya” which I still keep the sarong skirt nicely in my wardrobe today. 

I so treasure the gift of her story telling while my husband and i took her to Limbang, Sarawak to buy 山榴莲 and 菠萝蜜, She insisted to pay for the fruits as she said she never have the chance to use the Malaysian ringgit, please let her paid, she said.  Her contagious smile and giggles were so priceless after her request was granted. Excitedly and happily, we three loaded the 山榴莲 and 菠萝蜜, into our car boot and headed back to Brunei. It had been a long time she did not go to street market to buy such fruits, she said.  She really enjoyed it. 

I thank grandma for her trust and it was very invaluable to me. I love my grandma dearly. I look forward to seeing her again in good health with a perfect body on paradise earth. (John 5:28, 29) (Isaiah 25:8). Lastly but not least, grandma’s benevolent countenance and her laughter will always be engraved in my heart and memory till that day comes.

Grandma has given me many happy memories especially when I was little which I still proudly share with my friends up to this day. Grandma making the quilt blanket on her sewing machine and I sitting on the hanging basket by her side at the basement of her huge house in Miri. Her absolutely delicious 鸡酒面线 and "baku" 米粉 which I never get to taste again anywhere else. Her constant  bickering with Grandpa in the Foochow dialect but always making up with a mug of Milo afterwards. Her brightly lit eyes and her unstoppable grin when Grandpa brought home durians for her. There are just so many beautiful memories of Grandma that I will never forget. I love my Grandma very much. I look forward to seeing and embracing my resurrected Grandma back in good health on a cleansed earth in future (John 5:28,29, Rev 21:4). Until then, Grandma's beautiful face with a hearty laughter will always be etched in my mind and heart.
